Happy Holidays to you! I hope your year is winding down
peacefully.
My end-of-year message introduces itself, so I invite you to
read below. I hope you find yourself in my words.
Thank you for trusting me as your coach, consultant, trainer,
professor, colleague, and friend. And thank you, as always, for
reading. Happy New Year!

Celebrating YOU
|
| |
I just don't do resolutions. The idea of setting goals because
it's "that time of year" strikes me as superficially-imposed
stress (and the holidays themselves are enough, thank you). I am
happy borrowing the 1998 marketing slogan from Lockheed Martin's
then-brand-new C-130J: "Farther, faster, higher, smarter." Who
needs more than that?
Instead, I like to spend the end of the year reflecting on
success--taking the time to cherish moments and people and, yes,
accomplishments. (Humility--for all those except the irrationally
arrogant--is generally over-rated.)
I sometimes write my articles to people who will never read
what I write and who would not recognize themselves even if I
printed their names. But one of the things that I am proud of this
year is that--as the country song says--my give-a-damn about those
people is, well, busted.
So I would like to talk to those of you who do read what I
write. I'd like to celebrate your successes. I'd like to celebrate
you.
I won't name any names, and I am proud of so many of you that I
know I could not name you all. So, here are some categories. You
are my stars. I hope you see yourselves in my words. |

Remember: Chin
Up!
|
| |
Believe in yourself--who you are and what you have to offer.
Chin up! Know that your contributions are right on target
because you are smart, experienced, and prepared.
Chin up! Feel confident in what you know and what you are
worth.
Chin up! Stand up straight, hold your head high, face issues
and people head on.
Please email me with your comments, questions, and stories.
Thanks again for reading! --Sherron |
