    Freeloaders really annoy me.

You know the people I'm talking about-- those who willingly suck you dry and take no responsibility for themselves or their share of the load.

Let's look at freeloaders at work-- the under-contributing employees, supervisors, or colleagues who rarely do what they are supposed to do. If they do contribute, it's late, inappropriate, inadequate, or just wrong.

Read about the problem (freeloaders), the rest of the problem (enablers who support freeloaders), and, of course, a communication solution.

(Mostly for my female readers this time.)

Knowledge@Emory. February 14, 2008. Quoted extensively in "Is There Room for Emotions in the Workplace?"

Excerpt, in response to a question about Hillary Clinton's recent emotional outburst:

The challenge, says Sherron Bienvenu, professor emerita at Guozueta, is that women and men tend to display different physical emotional responses. "Women react physically when something surprises or frightens them. Men are usually more controlled," she says. "But Hillary (Clinton) has established herself as being very direct and controlled, so her emotional moment appeared inconsistent."
