Prepare the job description (What will the person actually do?  What skills, experience, and education are required?).

Screen resumes carefully (Use the criteria you prepared.).

Design your questions (What are the answers you are looking for?).

Recognize your hidden agenda (What do you want to know that you can’t ask?).

Confirm your thinking (Practice with a colleague.).

Understand perceptions of credibility (The only reality is what others perceive!).
